We call this day trip our “Triple Treat” as you will be able to visit three excellent attractions in the same day.
The included activities are:
This day trip will begin by arriving at the African Bird of Prey Sanctuary prior to 10:30 AM.
See below for photo galleries of each listed Activity.
The African Bird of Prey Sanctuary is dedicated to the conservation of indigenous raptors and is a base to ongoing research, breeding and rehabilitation projects for birds of prey. It contains the widest selection of indigenous birds of prey in Southern Africa. By arriving by 10:30 AM you will be able to enjoy the daily flight displays. These demonstrations are a specially trained group of raptors allowing you to experience first hand the awesome power of an eagle, the stealth of a silent flying owl or the amazing speed of a falcon. After the show you will be able to visit all of the different areas of the sanctuary including Eagle Alley, Hoot Hollow, Honeycomb Habitats and the Vulture Hide. Also located on the grounds is a café, Africa Trading Gallery and the Sanctuary curio shop.

Next we will go to the Natal Zoological Gardens located a short distance away. This is a beautiful zoo containing a large collection of both local and unusual animals. Some of the animals that you will see are leopards, bears, jackals, rhino, zebra, crocodiles, Bengal tigers, white tigers, various primates and several different species of birds. There is an extremely nice picnic area and while we are there we will take the time and enjoy a splendid picnic lunch prepared by our staff.

After visiting the zoo we will go to Natal Lion and Game Park, also located nearby. This visit will consist of a game drive through a 7 KM loop around the park. During this game drive you will see Elephants, Impala, Nyala, Duiker, Kudu, Zebra & Blue Wildebeest among the many animals contained in this park. The game drive will end in another open air enclosure to view the main attraction of the park, its Lions. There are both normal colored and white lions in this enclosure and as you drive through you will be presented with a very close opportunity (be sure the windows are rolled up) to photograph these magnificent animals.
